Fire at Vaishno Devi shrine complex; cash counter damaged | India News - Times of India


JAMMU: A fireplace broke out at the Vaishno Devi shrine complicated in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district on Tuesday, damaging a cash counter, officers mentioned.
No one was injured within the fireplace, which broke out from the construction adjoining the ‘Bhawan’ (sanctum sanctorum), the officers mentioned.
They mentioned the hearth began round 4.15 pm as a consequence of a brief circuit and was fully managed by 5 pm.
Visuals from the scene confirmed thick smoke billowing out of the constructing as firefighters labored to douse the flames.
Fire combating squad of the shrine instantly swung into motion after CRPF personnel raised an alarm, the officers mentioned.
Some cash and data have been gutted within the fireplace, the officers mentioned.
