Assam Chief Minister Appeals For “Family Planning” To Reduce Poverty
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday urged the minority group to undertake a “decent family planning policy” for inhabitants management to scale back poverty.
All stakeholders locally should come ahead and assist the federal government in serving to cut back poverty locally which is primarily attributable to an unabated improve in inhabitants, the chief minister stated on the event of completion of 30 days of his authorities.
“The government is the guardian of all poor people but it needs the support of the minority community in tackling the issue of population growth which is the root cause of poverty, illiteracy and consequent lack of proper family planning,” he stated.
Mr Sarma stated that his authorities will work in the direction of educating the ladies of the group in order that the issue might be tackled successfully.
