Mumbai:
Mumbai police have busted an unlawful name centre working at suburban Jogeshwari and arrested 10 individuals for allegedly dishonest international nationals by promising to promote libido-boosting tablets to them, an official stated right now.
Based on particular inputs, Unit 9 of the crime department carried out a raid at Altitude name centre situated at Behram Baugh Link Road in Jogeshwari west in the early hours of Wednesday and located that it was being run in an unauthorised method and with out permission from the Department of Telecommunications.
“The call centre’s team leader, data entry operator and agents were making calls to foreign nationals to lure them into buying libido-boosting pills. It was also found that despite getting money from the foreign nationals, the accused persons were providing any tablets to them as promised,” he stated.
The crime department officers arrested 10 individuals. The accused embrace a lady, who labored as a knowledge entry operator, he stated, including that 5 extra individuals are on the run.
Probe into the case is underway, he stated.
