Mr Yediyurappa expressed happiness that the system eradicated misappropriation of funds and middlemen

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa at present launched a Direct Benefit Transfer or DBT cellular software that can assist switch funds on to beneficiaries of assorted authorities welfare schemes.

According to an announcement from the Chief Minister’s workplace, 120 schemes within the state have been included on this platform.

“For the past two years more than Rs 12,000 crore has been directly transferred to the Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of beneficiaries,” the assertion quoted Mr Yediyurappa as saying.

The Chief Minister expressed happiness that the system has eradicated misappropriation of funds, middlemen and loopholes.

All packages introduced by the state authorities throughout COVID-19 first and second waves have been paid by this platform, it added.

Schemes introduced within the price range, which offer monetary help within the state, might be introduced beneath the DBT platform, the Chief Minister’s Office mentioned.

This platform will establish the beneficiary by his or her Aadhaar quantity and contemplate the small print offered within the card as monetary tackle and can instantly switch the quantity to the Aadhaar-linked checking account.

“The intention of the government to bring in transparency will be achieved only when citizens use this application. Hence, the citizens must make the best use of this software application and keep themselves informed about the transfer of benefits,” the Chief Minister’s Office added.
