A 23-year-old man, who allegedly faked his personal kidnapping to demand Rs 3 lakh from his father, was traced to Punjab’s Jalandhar, the police stated Thursday.

On June 3, Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy police station obtained a name in regards to the kidnapping. The police reached the spot and recorded the assertion of Veer Pal Singh – the daddy of the person, a senior police officer stated.

Mr Singh informed the police that his son Aman had gone to the market on June 1 and had not returned house since, officers stated.

Mr Singh informed the police that he obtained a name from his son on June 3 who informed him that he has been kidnapped and the abductors have demanded a ransom of Rs 3 lakh, the officer stated.

He obtained three calls from his son, asking him to switch the cash to his checking account, they stated, including {that a} case was registered following that.

During the investigation, the situation of the cell phone from which Aman had referred to as was checked and was discovered to be in Punjab’s Jalandhar following which a staff was despatched there.

The staff interrogated some mates of Aman in Jalandhar. Finally, he was traced on Saturday and introduced again to the nationwide capital on Sunday, the police stated.

“During the interrogation, Aman told the police that he wanted to sell a car and discussed the matter with his friend Ankit, a resident of Jalandhar, who told him that he had a purchaser for the vehicle,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (outer north) Rajiv Ranjan Singh stated.

On June 1, Aman went to Hisar in Haryana the place his pal Ankit, the really proprietor of the automotive – Ravi – together with the purchaser met, the police stated.

The purchaser gave Rs 2 lakh in money to Aman however Ravi snatched the money and fled together with the automotive, the police stated.

The purchaser then began pressurizing Aman to return his cash as he had not acquired the possession of the automotive, the police stated.

Aman first went again to Jalandhar alongside together with his pal Ankit and began working in a manufacturing facility as a labourer. However, since he knew that he wouldn’t be capable of return the cash from the wage of his job, he deliberate his personal kidnapping, referred to as his father, and demanded Rs 3 lakhs from him, saying that he has been kidnapped, the police stated.
