Two policemen and two civilians have been killed throughout a terrorist assault in Sopore city of north Kashmir. Three policeman have been additionally injured within the assault, the police stated.
Officials sources say terrorist resorted to heavy firing on a police patrol at major Chowk in Sopore city this afternoon.
Two policemen and two civilians have been killed on the spot. The injured together with three policemen have been shifted to hospital.
“Two policemen and two civilian were killed in the attack. Three other policemen are injured,” stated Vijay Kumar, Inspector General of police.
Mr Kumar stated he has reached the assault website and an operation has been launched to trace down the attackers.
The assault has come within the wake of enormous troop motion in north Kashmir. Officials stated the troops arriving within the Jammu and Kashmir are those that who had gone for election responsibility to West Bengal and different states.
