Around 3.5 lakh medical doctors of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) will take part in a nationwide protest on Friday demanding a central legislation coping with violence towards medicos.

IMA nationwide president Dr JA Jayalal stated apart from its members, a variety of organisations such because the Association of Physicians of India, the Association of Surgeons of India, the Medical Students Network, Junior Doctor Network will take part within the protest.

In Bihar and central Kerala, medical doctors will shut their clinics within the morning to press for the demand of a central legislation towards violence towards medical doctors. We are not interested in controversies,” it stated.
