A particular court docket on Friday dismissed the bail petitions of alleged intermediary Christian Michel James, a British citizen in each Central Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement Directorate instances in reference to the AgustaWestland case.

Advocates DP Singh and NK Matta representing probe companies had opposed the bail petitions. Michel is being probed in two instances regarding the AgustaWestland deal being probed by CBI and ED.

In his bail plea filed by means of advocates Aljo Ok Joseph, Sriram P and Vishnu Shankar, the accused has expressed willingness to cooperate with the investigation.

“The Applicant (Michel) will be available to join the investigation any future investigation and trial, as and when required and has never sought to evade the process of law,” learn the bail copy.

The advocates advised the court docket that Michel has made no try to suborn witnesses, tamper with documentary proof, or in some other method pollute or impede the judicial course of and additional, the applicant undertakes that he shall not, tamper with proof or affect witnesses, neither is there any cheap or justifiable apprehension thereof.

Christian Michel, the alleged intermediary within the deal, was deported from the UAE and is at present in judicial custody.

A Dubai-based businessman, Rajeev Saxena, was additionally extradited to India on January 31, 2019 in reference to the Rs 3,600-crore alleged rip-off regarding the acquisition of 12 VVIP helicopters from AgustaWestland.
