UP Man Arrested With Morphine Worth Rs 3 Crore

The police have arrested a person in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki district on Saturday and recovered one kilogram of morphine price Rs 3 crore, officers mentioned.

Superintendent of Police, Yamuna Prasad, mentioned a bike together with a weighing balance has additionally recovered from him.

A case has been registered on the Haidargarh police station in opposition to the accused, Umashankar Dwivedi, who hailed from Khastaria village, he mentioned.

During interrogation Dwivedi mentioned he was into smuggling together with one other man named Narendra Yadav, who additionally hailed from Khastaria village.

Dwivedi used to take morphine from Yadav and promote it in Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Amethi and adjoining districts, police mentioned.
