Camps can be held at numerous slum clusters each Sunday, stated Gautam Gambir’s workplace

New Delhi:

BJP MP Gautam Gambhir on Sunday launched a drive for administering Covid vaccines to slum dwellers in East Delhi constituency.

The drive started at Shashi Garden slum cluster in East Delhi’s Mayur Vihar in presence of Mr Gambhir and a number of other BJP leaders, together with Delhi unit normal secretary (organisation) Siddharthan.

Mr Gambhir stated free vaccination camps will even be held in different slum clusters in East Delhi.

“It is the responsibility of every citizen to fulfil the dream of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi of complete vaccination,” he stated.

“There is still vaccine hesitancy among the poor because of all the misleading statements and false propaganda by opposition leaders. We need to put an end to that and vaccinate everyone for a healthy society,” the BJP MP stated.

Under the vaccination drive, camps can be held at numerous slum clusters each Sunday with a goal to manage Covid vaccines to 500 individuals, in line with a press release from Mr Gambhir’s workplace.

Since the general public dwelling in slum clusters shouldn’t have smartphones, camps will even be held to register them on the CoWIN portal, it stated.

The drive is being organised in collaboration with Dharamshila hospital, the assertion stated.

The cricketer-turned-politician can be operating one other vaccination camp from his workplace in East Delhi’s Jagriti Vihar.

More than 2,500 individuals have already been given their first dose of Covishield on the camp, the assertion added.
