Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina on Monday stated he’s assembly senior social gathering leaders in Jammu to chalk out a “counter-strategy” towards Gupkar Alliance forward of the all-party assembly to be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on June 24.

Mr Raina together with two senior social gathering leaders — former deputy chief ministers Nirmal Singh and Kavinder Gupta — are participating within the scheduled assembly which would be the prime minister’s first interplay with all of the political events of Jammu and Kashmir since August 5, 2019 when the Central authorities abrogated the state’s particular standing and bifurcated it into UTs.

The PM’s assembly with the political events from Jammu and Kashmir is a part of the Centre’s initiatives to bolster political processes, together with holding meeting elections, within the union territory.

“We have convened an emergency meeting of all prominent party leaders at Trikuta Nagar party headquarters at 11 am tomorrow (Tuesday) to chalk out the counter-strategy against Gupkar Alliance (People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration PAGD which is meeting in Srinagar around the same time to discuss Centre’s invitation),” Mr Raina informed PTI.

The PAGD is an amalgam of six mainstream events in Jammu and Kashmir, together with the National Conference (NC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), fashioned within the aftermath of the Centre’s August 2019 determination to nullify Article 370 and break up J&Okay into two union territories.

The leaders of eight political events — the NC, PDP, BJP, Congress, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, CPI(M), People’s Conference, and the Panthers Party — had been telephonically invited by Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla for participation within the assembly to be held on the prime minister’s residence within the nationwide capital at 3 pm on Thursday.

The invitees embrace 4 former chief ministers – National Conference president Farooq Abdullah, his son Omar Abdullah, senior Congress chief Ghulam Nabi Azad and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti.

Mr Raina stated the leaders of the social gathering from throughout Jammu area would talk about and deliberate all points with concentrate on the technique to be taken to counter the Gupkar Alliance which is demanding restoration of the pre August 5, 2019 place to Jammu and Kashmir.

On Sunday, PAGD spokesperson and senior CPI(M) chief M Y Tarigami stated the assembly of the alliance is scheduled to happen on Tuesday to debate the invitation and a united strategy shall be “good for the health of our society and our politics”.
