A sub-inspector was suspended for misbehaving along with his former landlady in an inebriated state in Rishikesh, police mentioned on Tuesday.
SI at ISBT police station, Vinay Sharma was suspended with instant impact, following a criticism by a girl that he behaved “objectionably” together with her after visiting her home in an inebriated situation, Station House Officer (SHO) Shishupal Singh Negi mentioned.
The complainant met Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Kumar on Monday to demand motion towards the accused officer.
An inquiry has been ordered into the fees, the SHO mentioned.
