A person was arrested from Dombivali in Thane district of Maharashtra in reference to the homicide bid on a 41-year-old dealer in Jaipur in Rajasthan, against the law department officer stated on Tuesday.

The incident had occurred on June 16 when two males using a motorbike fired at and injured the dealer in Jaipur.

As per a preliminary investigation, the accused Kamlesh Shinde, a resident of Dombivali, had employed the 2 sharpshooters to kill the dealer, the officer stated.

He stated the accused had been sexually harassing the spouse of the sufferer, following which the couple relocated to Jaipur from Dombivali.

“However, Shinde followed them to Jaipur. He hired the sharpshooters to kill the trader,” he stated.

Following the taking pictures, a case was registered at Karni Vihar police station in Jaipur beneath the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act.

The accused was handed over to a workforce of Rajasthan Police.
