Hitting out on the BJP authorities in Uttar Pradesh over the problem of crimes in opposition to girls, Congress chief Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday stated that in “‘jungle raj’ women’s safety is in God’s hands”.
The Congress basic secretary alleged the crimes being dedicated in opposition to girls in Uttar Pradesh are so heinous that these would make “one’s soul tremble”, however the authorities is “sleeping”.
“In Mathura, goons who had been harassing a girl for a year entered her house and threw her from the terrace. A girl, troubled over being teased, ended her own life in Hamirpur,” she stated in a tweet in Hindi.
“In jungle raj, the safety of women is in God’s hands,” Priyanka Gandhi added.
Her assault on the federal government got here after three males barged into the home of a 17-year-old woman on Tuesday and allegedly threw her off the second flooring of the constructing. The woman is battling for all times in a hospital.
The district police has lodged an FIR within the case and arrested two of the three accused.
In Hamirpur, a 20-year-old girl allegedly hanged herself nearly over a month after being molested and humiliated publicly by some goons in her neighbourhood.
