Preliminary assessments with a Drug-Detection (DD) Kit revealed the substance to be heroin

A girl from Kenya was arrested on the Jaipur International Airport with heroin weighing over two kilos, price roughly Rs 15 crore within the worldwide market, a Customs official stated immediately.

The 33-year-old girl, who arrived from Sharjah on an Air Arabia flight, was intercepted on the airport on the idea of a Look Out Circular (LOC), an official informed NDTV.

As per the LOC from the Immigration division, the lady had supplied the identical cellular quantity in her Visa utility as was supplied by two different Ugandan ladies passengers who have been intercepted on the Delhi airport on November 13 with 12.9 kg heroin, estimated to be price Rs 90 crore.

Suspecting her of being a part of a syndicate concerned in medicine smuggling, officers searched her baggage, emptying the plastic suitcase and placing it by an X-Ray examination.

The radiograph of the suitcase, which gave the impression to be heavier than regular when empty, confirmed lumps of hid substance following which officers discovered pretend compartments on its sides. They then minimize by it and located two massive envelopes – each neatly caught on both sides with a robust adhesive.

The envelopes had a white-coloured substance – some in small lumps and granules and the remainder in powdered type, the official informed NDTV.

The contraband has been seized and an investigation is underway, the official stated.
