A BJP Haryana unit chief has alleged that fraudsters morphed his footage and threatened to flow into these on social media in an try to extort cash from him.

Kamal Yadav, a state govt member of the BJP’s Haryana unit, mentioned in his criticism to the police that he acquired a video name on WhatsApp from an unknown lady on Thursday.

After he disconnected the decision, Mr Yadav began receiving messages and calls from the girl. She had recorded their video dialog and morphed it over vulgar clips and threatened to flow into these on social media, he alleged.

“The caller is giving life threats to me and my family. She also wants extortion money,” the BJP chief mentioned in his criticism.

Based on his criticism, an FIR has been registered towards the unknown caller below sections 384 (extortion), 506 (felony intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, and Section 67-A of IT Act at Cybercrime Police Station (East), Sector 43.

“We have put the caller’s mobile number on surveillance and are investigating the matter. The accused will be arrested soon,” mentioned investigating officer Surender Singh.
