Buildings At Jammu And Kashmir Village Develop Cracks

Doda:

More than 20 homes and a mosque at a village in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir have developed cracks, triggering panic amongst residents.

Officials say affected households are being shifted to a safer place and specialists have been despatched to the village to determine the reason for the soil shifting – which has led to cracks.

There are round 50 homes within the village Nai Basti.

Several elements together with development of roads and seepage of water might have induced the soil shifting within the hilly village, sources say.
